In this video, I walk you through the process of obtaining email addresses for your LinkedIn connections using Apollo.io. First, you'll need to export your LinkedIn connections into a CSV file, which includes their names and LinkedIn URLs. Then, I demonstrate how to use Apollo to enrich this data and find email addresses, noting that each email found will cost a credit.

How to Find LinkedIn Connection Email Addresses with Apollo.io
Introduction
One common challenge in outbound sales is that most of your LinkedIn connections don’t publicly list their email addresses. Luckily, Apollo.io makes it possible to enrich your LinkedIn connections and find verified emails at scale.
In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through how to export your LinkedIn connections, import them into Apollo, and enrich the data to uncover their email addresses.
Step 1: Export Your LinkedIn Connections
First, you’ll need to export your connections from LinkedIn:
- Go to your LinkedIn Account Settings → Data Privacy.
- Select Get a Copy of Your Data.
- Choose to export Connections.
- LinkedIn will generate a CSV file you can download.
This file usually includes:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Company
- LinkedIn Profile URL
Note: LinkedIn does not provide emails directly, but it does give you the LinkedIn URL, which acts as a unique identifier for each person.
Step 2: Prepare the CSV File
Clean up the CSV so it contains the key fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Company
- LinkedIn URL (this is where Apollo can match the profile to its database)
Even though LinkedIn doesn’t provide email addresses, Apollo can use the LinkedIn URL to find them.
Step 3: Import the File into Apollo
- In Apollo, go to Data Enrichment → CSV Upload.
- Select your cleaned CSV file.
- Map the fields (First Name, Last Name, Company, LinkedIn URL).
Apollo will warn you that enrichment costs 1 credit per person.
Step 4: Run the Enrichment
- In this example, I uploaded a list of just over 5,000 LinkedIn connections.
- Apollo began enriching the file, using the LinkedIn URLs to find matching records in its database.
- Each successful match returns a verified email address (and optionally phone numbers, if you choose to enrich those as well).
Step 5: Review the Results
When the enrichment finishes, Apollo sends an email letting you know the file is ready.
- In my case, it matched about 3,000 out of 5,000 contacts—a roughly 60% hit rate.
- You can download the enriched CSV file, which now includes verified email addresses.
Step 6: Put the Data to Work
Once you’ve enriched your LinkedIn connections, you can:
- Upload the enriched file into Apollo as a list to run campaigns against it.
- Use the email addresses in your CRM or marketing automation platform.
- Keep the file as a resource for outreach outside of Apollo.
Why This Matters
With this workflow, you can:
- Turn LinkedIn connections into a usable email list
- Enrich thousands of contacts at once
- Reach prospects where they’re most likely to respond—email—while still leveraging LinkedIn as a starting point
It’s a powerful way to bridge the gap between LinkedIn networking and outbound email campaigns.
Conclusion
Most LinkedIn connections won’t show their email addresses publicly, but with Apollo.io, you can enrich your exported LinkedIn data and uncover verified emails at scale.
This process is simple, fast, and effective—especially if you want to engage your LinkedIn network outside the platform and build more direct outbound sequences.
