Position Overview: As a 1099 Commission Sales Specialist for Business Development, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales growth and foster new business relationships on behalf of the company. You will work independently as a contractor (1099) and will receive compensation through a commission-based structure tied to your sales performance. Your expertise in sales, negotiation, and relationship-building will be crucial in identifying potential clients, closing deals, and expanding the company's customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and target industries.
    • Generate leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, online research, and referrals.
    • Engage in proactive outreach to initiate conversations and establish rapport with potential customers.
  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Meet or exceed sales targets by actively selling the company's products or services.
    • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, managing the entire sales process from prospecting to closing.
    • Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations with potential clients.
    • Customize sales strategies and proposals to address the unique needs of each prospect.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients to drive customer loyalty and repeat business.
    • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Regularly follow up with existing and potential customers to maintain engagement and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaboration and Reporting:
    • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to align strategies and ensure client requirements are met.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
    • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including activity tracking, pipeline updates, and revenue projections.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in a business-to-business (B2B) environment.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and negotiate with clients.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales tools to manage leads, track progress, and generate reports.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the industry or product/service being offered is a plus.
